Once you have signed your sales contract there are a number of things that you should do. Firstly you should get a copy of the signed contract to your solicitor.
The contract will give you a firm date by which time you have to vacate the house. You will have to make preparations for packing and moving, you will need to contact utility companies so they can prepare to transfer utility contracts.
Depending where you live you may have to provide the buyer with certain information in the form of a Home Owners Pack or a Home Owners Association (HOA) package.
