A property enquiry email from the Property Sales By Owner website looks like this property-enquiry-email.jpg, if you are using Outlook Express as your email handler. The first point to note is that the email comes from postmaster@property-sales-by-owner.com and, once you have uploaded your property you should ensure that this email address is whitelisted in any spam filters that you may be using.

The email will contain the name of the enquirer, their email address and the text of the enquiry itself. Optionally the enquirer may include their telephone number so that you can contact them by phone.

Within the first section of the email, Enquiry Details, there are two points of interest:-

  1. Duplicate enquiry. The default here is “no”, which indicates that this is the first enquiry from this particular email address. If the value is “yes”, then you have previously received an enquiry from here.
  2. Vendor direct. If this says “Yes” then you are receiving emails directly from enquirers, without any form of intervention from Property Sales By Owner. If this says “No”, then it means that you have not yet paid your enquiry fee and Property Sales By Owner are first receiving the email before forwarding it to you - minus the enquirers email address. Once you pay your enquiry fee enquiry emails will go directly to you. Go here to get more information on how the enquiry fee system works.
