Ablanque is a small village set in the Alto Tajo natural park inGuadaljara, in the Castile-La-Mancha Province of central Spain. It liesat an altitude of 1063 meters above sea level and has a population of157.

The small river Ablanque flows by the village and there is arecreation area called the Fuenta del Cura (spring of the priest) witha dam, pool and outdoor bar. Also can be found a small hermitage,Ermita del Buen Labrado, (hermitage of the carving?).

There are two main fiestas, the first from the 30th April to the 1stMay, known as Los Mayos and the second, Romería a la Ermita del BuenLabrado, on the fourth Saturday of May.

The Alto Tajo natural park covers 16,940 hectares. Alto Tajo isnamed after the Tajo river that flows through it and it is this river,eroding through the reddish limestone hills that has given rise to thespectacular gorges and cliffs to be found alongside. The Tajo riverjoins the Rio Gallo at Puente San Pedro and this area is one of themost beautiful in Spain. The natural park and river are a walkersparadise, though not for the faint hearted.
