Buy In Gloom, Sell in Boom

If you are thinking of selling your house there are some questions you need to ask yourself.
1.    Do I absolutely have to sell my house? The current market is the worst for years and is likely to continue this way for the forseeable future so you must have the most pressing reasons even to consider selling. A depressed market means depressed prices.
2.    Am I pricing my property realisitically? There are still far too many properties that are overpriced. Owners are hanging on in the belief that the market will pick up in the coming months, there is absolutely no substance to this so if you have to sell do it quickly. Every property has its price, if you price realistically it will sell. If you can get your property priced by a professional THEN TAKE HIS ADVICE, don’t ignore it if you don’t like it.
3.    Be careful how you advertise your property – you can easily expend your budget.
4.    Prepare your house and your paperwork for the sale. Everybody tells you to do this but far too many vendors don’t.
5.    Be patient. Buyers have a huge choice but it only takes one to buy your home.

Companies are cashing on this by offering home staging services and management of vacant property for sale, particularly at the high end of the market.

Showhomes Franchise Corporation, based in Nashville, Tennessee is one of the 100 fastest growing companies in Tennesse, in the last three years it has almost tripled its revenue and significantly expanded its area of influence.

Showhomes claims that high end vacant homes that are managed by them sell up to 50% faster than those that have not undergone their home staging service.

House staging is the name given to the process where a house seller makes efforts to prepare his home to potential buyers in order to give them the best possible impression.
